Ashley Applewhite

Ms. Applewhite obtained her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, where she was a member of the school’s Administrative Law Moot Court Team. She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Studies with minors in Journalism and History from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She also studied Spanish at Tec de Monterrey in Guadalajara, Mexico.

In 2012, Ms. Applewhite was honored by the State Bar of Texas Pro Bono College, which recognizes attorneys who have exceeded the State Bar’s aspirational pro bono legal goal in their efforts to address the vast unmet legal needs of the poor. She also served on the Board of Directors for Prevent Child Abuse Texas from 2004 until 2007.

Originally from Canton, Texas, Ms. Applewhite lives with her husband Jason, daughter Georgia, two dogs and two cats. In her spare time she enjoys running, traveling, reading, and college football.
